![]() ![]() Sometimes issue are a bit complex and have to chased to the end of all possibilities and side caused problems looked for to be sure the repair is complete. You did not get good complete diagnostic testing or results for your outlay. I would not have attributed all this to a faulty fuel pump pumping to much fuel. 300 is just random misfires that would result from the Root cause of the over rich condition > such as flooding. The p300 code is a by product of the problem not a cause. Some of the end results may spread to other areas so more than on issue may be present. This will make the engine too Rich allowing Raw liquid gas back into the Throttle body in high volume, when it should only be "fumes". Spark plugs and coils would not fix it.Īccording to Ford's description of the code p2bf1.ĮVAP Purge valve leaking and the Charcoal can is full if fuel. ![]() Not read the description of the code p2bf1 for the possible cause of the issue.ī. I can’t imagine leaving ford again less than $2k so I’m hoping for options on cause of issue, get remanufactured engine, engine from junkyard, take to ford? I’d rather not sell but this thing is beginning to drain me.Ī. I’ve been told it could be bad ecu, bad injectors, bad timing system, or maybe even broken spring.Įvery mechanic I’ve asked to look at it doesn’t want to touch it and says only ford can do this one. By now I’ve thrown so much money at the problem, partly due to my stupidity, I’ve spent nearly half the cost of a new crate. No oil in the cylinders and they all have compression. They said it was fixed but must not have test driven after.Įvery set including the original spark plugs have looked good. Exact same issues just not was noticeable. I picked it up next day and immediately noticed it was better but not by a long shot. I’m charged $2k for new high pressure fuel pump and for them to clean the tb and manifold and maybe one other thing. I now take it too the dealer less than a month out of warranty. Injectors maybe? Seafoam and Chevron Techron did nothing. No improvement.Ī few days later, I blew a wad of cash on 8 motorcraft coil plugs- nothing. Put in ngk 6510 regapped to 0.50 better but still not great.Ībout a week later I got the factory sp578 plugs the ford dealer recommended. Put in ngk 6509 regapped to 0.50- 3 days later I’ve read that these are range 6 and too hot. Fast forward to now- I’m getting it’s running rich, gets 11 mpg and I smell the unused gas. The rear has a 3.31 lugging in normal occurs 1200ish rpm, sport is 2000-2500 rpm and is drivable through about 3500rpm but if it’s over that it begins to shake and is underpowered. It sport mode it drives almost perfectly daily driving it the higher rpm is exhausting. It has very low power when accelerating from a stop and lugs around in normal mode at low rpm. I switched out plugs the next day, which clears the CEL, but now is driving like garbage. It was very faint but enough that I noticed. I pressed down on accelerator and thought the engine paused longer than usual and didn’t pull as normal. This misfire started while driving quickly next my friend’s 6.2 trailboss. I’ll get straight to it, I’m hoping to get any feedback re: code p0300 (multiple misfire) 8/23 and now p2bf1 (fuel system B, bank 1 too rich) 12/30. ![]() Unfortunately I don’t interact much, but spend an obscene amount of time reading threads from this site. ![]()
